Hello! I’m Monique, founder of Baa Baa Baby.
I love being a Child Health Nurse! I like supporting parents to enable you to excel in your new career as a parent, and I say “Parenting is my Jam” because I absolutely love it!
I used to work for the Child and Adolescent Community Health Service. This government position had Child Health Clinics in most suburbs in Perth, WA and I had my own clinic. I would have new Mums’ from other areas trying to get into my Mothers’ Groups because of the good reputation they had heard. Mums in my group were receiving support and making life time friends and the Mums out of my area wanted the same. Unfortunately they hadn’t been able to receive that same support from their local Child Health Nurse.
This broke my heart to hear all these stories of new Mums made to feel incompetent or that they were failing, or being made to cry!! This is such a precious time in your life and of course you want to do what’s best for your baby, so let me support you while you achieve this! I also am the ONLY Parenting Expert to offer you UNLIMITED support after having a home visit. This is because I want you to be successful!
The relationship between you and your Child Health Nurse should be one that empowers you and one that you feel comfortable to be able to ask any question and not feel like you’re being judged.
That is one thing that people say about me - I am non-judgemental and am inclusive of all family variations - of which there are many.
So I decided to go out and become the very first private Child Health Nurse in Perth! (June 2018) This gives me the opportunity to reach Mums in all areas, city and regional, interstate and worldwide. I develop a relationship with you and your family where you can rely on me for support at every step of your child’s development and growth. Once I have seen you then you are also included as part of my family. The photo is a pic of my little family! Back when I was just starting out :)
